We’re Ethan and Nikki and we’re going to share our unique journey with you.

This is a journey of us trying to conceive when the male parent has a pituitary disorder.
Ethan was first diagnosed with Panhypopituitarism at 4 years old and had it since birth. For those that might not understand what this means, basically his pituitary gland (the part of your brain that sends signals to various parts of the body that secrete hormones) does not function.
Ethan was underdeveloped as a child, being the size of a 2 year old at 4 years old. For many years, his parents fought to get answers as to why he was so ill and so underdeveloped. Once diagnosed, Ethan was placed on Growth Hormone, Thyroxine and Hydrocortisone and started to develop more healthily.
Ethan now manages his condition on a daily basis by taking Hydrocortisone, Thyroxine and Testosterone and manages to live as a healthy adult male. He is 6’2” in height, average build and no longer shows any signs of underdevelopment.
In spite of his very rare condition, Ethan has actively fought against preconceived expectations from a young age; He was told he could not climb trees, play sports or father a family. Ethan has gone on to have an active career, played Rugby to a high level and the last obstacle of fathering a child is now upon us.
Ethan and Nikki have been together since 2014 and have recently got married! So naturally the next stage in their relationship is children.
Following a lot of research to try and find others that have gone through the same journey, we started to struggle to find information online of success or unsuccessful stories. Therefore, we decided that we could take this opportunity to create our own blog / vlog to document our journey together with you.
We hope that through us being open and transparent with our journey that this will in someway come to help others that may be currently trying to get pregnant or that are looking to start a family. It is such a unique circumstance, it’s a rare condition, but we are both so determined to make this a success!
