WELCOME!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to our blog about our journey to try to start a family.

As we said in our ‘About’ section, we’re hoping that by documenting our journey it will enable others that may be in similar circumstances to see the processes that we go through, the trials and tribulations etc.

As with all couples with fertility concerns or issues, we remain hopeful that someday we will have our own children and until told otherwise we remain positive.

We’ve decided to to document our journey in a hope that we raise awareness for Panhypopituitarism but also to put some more information our there for people who have the condition who wonder if they are able to have a family of their own.

We're doing this blog and also we've got a YouTube channel, attached to this site,

Ethan was diagnosed with the very rare condition from the age of 4 years old and has, thankfully, developed into a 6’2” healthy adult male… To say he has been very fortunate is an extreme understatement. It’s with great thanks to his incredible Endocrinology consultants, Professors, Ethans’ parents, to name but a few, that he has up to this point smashed his condition right out of the park!

We (E&N) have been together since 2014, being inseparable since day 1 we are the best of friends, soul mates if you will. As with any other relationship, we have had our ups and downs but we have stuck together through everything! In August 2018, we finally said “I do!” in sunny Cyprus surrounded by our amazing friends and family!

At the beginning of the month (November 2018), Ethan had his yearly appointment with his amazing Endocrinologist Dr K. We went to the routine appointment with Ethans’ Mum, where Dr K. discussed Ethan providing a sample of sperm to determine his sperm count as it is at baseline on his current medication. At the moment, Ethan is on Tostran 2% gel (testosterone) which is applied topically daily to provide him with the testosterone he needs in his system. Depending on the results depends on whether he will stay on this or go onto a different treatment.

We're hoping that this week Ethan will have had his test and only a short time after we will have the results! We're remaining hopeful that the test will come back positively, so fingers crossed!

Thank you so much for reading out blog, we hope that you find it interesting, useful, helpful etc!

We'll write again once we have our results! Fingers, toes, eyes, everything crossed!

E&N xo
